This video is about an Alaskan wilderness bowhunt for moose. We flew 200 miles out of Fairbanks and spent 17 days chasing giant bull moose and trying to keep from freezing to death. I was fortunate enough to take a trophy class bull and get it on video. My bull was the 2nd largest archery killed moose in Alaska that year.
Our dream hunt turned into a life or death ordeal when the temperature dropped to 20 below zero. It was only mid-September. We were stranded in the middle of nowhere when the lake that we landed our floatplane on froze over. We had to spend the next 12 days with only our clothes and a tent to keep us from freezing.
