This video contains all of the bowhunting action of our 1999 whitetail season. We hunted in Michigan where I managed to tag an 8 point buck with my longbow. My 15 year old daughter hunted with me and helped me track it down. Later in the season we went to Illinois. We managed to get some good video of some dandy whitetails. A couple of them were Pope & Young class bucks. Again we passed up shots at smaller bucks and ultimately failed to get any monsters. We had a lot of fun and had some interesting encounters with Whitetails and other wildlife.
These hunts aren't as exciting and dramatic as our moose hunts, but they are entertaining and real. When you watch this video you'll be able to share the thrill of the hunt and the frustration of trying to outsmart those wily whitetails.
